Volunteering
One of my volunteer jobs is at MARE. MARE stands for Mastering Abilities Riding Equines. MARE has been the best thing that has happened to me in the last year....or was it a year and a half? Anyways, I just wanted to say that I think that all of you should try doing something good for your community. Volunteering has been one of the biggest parts of my life, and I plan to keep on doing this forever.
I love the fact that I can volunteer and help all of the disabled children that go and ride over there, and be with a lot of horses all at the same time.
I remember when i first learned about M.A.R.E. i heard about it through my 7th grade science teacher named Linda Cain. My teacher told me that when she was younger, she started the M.A.R.E program in her backyard with her friend, and she was able to give me the number of her friend in order to contact her so i could join the fantastic group. Ever since that day when i made my first call i have been happier that i had made that decision to do so. I go to volunteering every Friday with my neighbor Andy. Going to volunteer at M.A.R.E has made a great impact in my life, and i have learned that even though i can get frustrated at life sometimes, i always find the time to think about all of the other kids that i see at M.A.R.E and how hard and different their life must be and that i shouldn't be the one that is complaining. Working with M.A.R.E has helped me better understand the value of ones choice to volunteer and how much of a difference it may mean to the kids that participate in the program.
I would love it if you could all write back to me in the comments area about all that you guys do
